Imbalanced Racks Bring Commissioning to a Standstill

The Background

At six weeks behind schedule, the owner/operator of a North America-based 100+ MWh solar and battery facility was feeling the pressure to pass acceptance testing. The headaches revolved around imbalanced racks. Every day without reaching the Commercial Operation Date (COD) was a day of lost revenue. ACCURE Battery Intelligence promptly assessed the system, identified the root cause, and detailed a solution to accelerate commissioning.

Solution and Approach

ACCURE worked with the asset owner to quickly ingest and analyze one month’s worth of battery data into our predictive analytics platform. Our proprietary algorithms were able to successfully pinpoint modules that had BMS failures which were causing faulty state estimation.

Results and Benefits

All results were delivered in one week, helping expedite the COD process. The asset owner validated the findings, worked with the integrator, and replaced several modules. Shortly thereafter, the integrator successfully recalibrated the system. Today, the asset owner is using ACCURE’s monitoring platform across their entire portfolio.
